Frequently Asked Questions

1. When do I call you?

Call anytime between 7am to 11pm to let me know when you are admitted to Labor and Delivery.  Keep me updated throughout this time with your labor progress.  Any family member or friend you choose can call me with updates if you or your coach are unable to call me due to your labor status.  508-254-1095

2. What if you’re unavailable to take my delivery room photos or I deliver in the middle of the night?

I will try to be available for Delivery Room photos from approximately 9am to 11pm.  If you deliver at 3am for example, just call me the next day after you’ve had time to rest.  Call and we’ll arrange a time during your stay on the Maternity Unit to photograph your new family.

3. If I only want pictures taken while on the Maternity Unit, when do I call you?

Call me after you have delivered anytime between 7am to 10pm.  We’ll arrange at that time when you’d like your photos taken.  Depending on what time of day you deliver, I could take the photos later the same day or the following day.  You decide, based on how you feel or when the child’s siblings or grandparents will be present and included in the photographs.

4. Can you photograph the actual delivery?

Yes, as long as the baby is doing fine while you’re in labor and it’s alright with your Doctor/Midwife.

5. Do you take pictures if I have a C-Section?

Yes, but I prefer to take the photos during your stay on the Maternity Unit 2-3 days later.  Call and let me know when you’ve delivered and we’ll arrange a time to get together.

6. What can a gift certificate be used for?

It can be purchased for a complete Portrait Package or for a specific dollar amount towards a package or custom framing.  If for some reason I can not take your pictures in the hospital we can make other arrangements that are satisfactory to you.

If you have any questions you don’t see here please e-mail your question to me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  My e-mail address is karaj@karajgauvin.com  or feel free to give me a call at 508-254-1095.
